Ak Kaynar was established in Uralsk in 1996 on the basis of the former Uralsk Mill. The mill was built in 1910 by merchants Karev and Starov and a grain mill in 1896 by landowner Ovchinnikov.
In April 2005 the mill was reorganized into Joint-Stock Company "Kombinat khleboproduktov "Ak kainar".
During its 110-year history, the combine has maintained and accumulated a production base, which includes a groats and fodder mills, a mill, a grain elevator and storage facility and a pasta factory for the production of short-cut pasta.
The company has the only shala rice processing plant in the region.
There is a line of Italian company "Pavan S.p.A." producing short-cut pasta which is capable of producing up to 1000 kg per hour.
The elevator of the enterprise can take up to 20 thousand tons of grain, including silos for 9 thousand tons and warehouses of ground storage for 10 thousand tons. Available capacities ensure continuous production cycle at full load.
