GLASS UNITS
One of the main types of production of LLP "Steklo-Service" is the manufacture of double-glazed windows. A double-glazed unit is a factory-made product consisting of several sheets of glass (single-chamber or double-chamber glass unit), separated by a spacer, the space between the glasses is filled with dried air or inert gas. The main task of a glass unit is to provide a higher level of thermal insulation than single glazing.

GENERAL GLASS PANELS - these are double-glazed windows with transparent polished float glass, grade M1 (where M1 is a characteristic of the glass quality permissible according to GOST). They can be either single-chamber or double-chamber. The distance between the glasses (air chamber) depends on the number of chambers. The main advantage of double-glazed windows for general construction purposes is the optimal ratio of quality and price. That is why they are the de facto standard in the construction industry. They are used everywhere: in new multi-storey buildings, offices, cottages, etc.
ENERGY-SAVING GLASS PACKAGES - A significant rise in the cost of energy carriers and rather harsh climatic conditions make you seriously think about the need to preserve heat in your houses and apartments. Energy-saving glass unit - a glass unit, in the manufacture of which special glass is used, sprayed on one side with a transparent layer of metal oxide. Metal conducts heat worse than glass, so when heat passes through the sprayed layer, it is trapped and then reflected back into the room. At the same time, shortwave solar thermal radiation is transmitted unhindered, allowing the use of solar energy.
SUN-PROTECTED GLASS PANELS - reliable protection from heat! We recommend installing sun-protection double-glazed windows in rooms, especially those that are most illuminated during the day. The use of double-glazed windows of this type provides effective sun protection of premises, reduces human fatigue from exposure to the sun factor, gives the room and the building an original architectural and artistic look. Thanks to a special glass coating, solar control glass units are capable of reflecting ultraviolet rays up to 60%. At the same time, the level of illumination of the room will practically not change (with the exception of tinted and darkened glasses). NOISE INSULATING GLASS PANELS are double-glazed windows designed to significantly increase the sound insulation of a window. This is achieved by using glasses of different thickness in the product. The different thickness of the built-in glass in the glass unit dampens resonance phenomena and thus helps to reduce the noise in the room. In a real situation, the performance of sound insulation can vary in accordance with the following parameters: - the actual dimensions of the glazing / frame; - characteristics of the window system; - air permeability of the window; - acoustic environment (type of sound source, location relative to the source, etc.); - acoustic characteristics of other structural elements. In order to assess sound insulation at the facility, these parameters should be taken into account when choosing glazing.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL GLASS PANELS - provide significant protection from the sun in summer and, due to low thermal conductivity, help to significantly save heating costs in winter. As a rule, glasses are used that combine the functional advantages of heat-saving glass and the quality of solar control glass. Advantages of multifunctional glass: - improved selectivity (ratio of light transmission and total energy transmission of glass - solar factor); - the possibility of hardening; - uniform neutral tone; - improved thermal insulation.
PROTECTIVE AND SAFE GLASS UNITS are the most practical and convenient glass units. They are able to protect against various types of mechanical damage, they are absolutely safe for others. The property of impact resistance allows the use of such glass in a variety of solutions (stairs, floors, showcases, roofs, etc.). For the manufacture of safety glass units, thermally toughened glass and laminated glass (triplex) are used. Outwardly, they are no different from other glasses. But there is still a difference. Such double-glazed windows are capable of withstanding loads. In order to maximize the strength of the glass structure, a special AB-AR insert is often used in the manufacture of laminated glass. The use of this insert also allows you to reduce the thickness and weight of the structure, while maintaining the quality of the glass. Subject to certain standards, this glass is used as a bulletproof glass.
MULTI-LAYER SAFE GLASS - joining two or more glasses into a single block through an intermediate layer over the entire surface (triplex). Using laminated glass in production, the company produces safety glass glazing of buildings and structures for various purposes with all kinds of protection degrees, the used colored film in the glass provides aesthetic glazing parameters. Triplex can provide: - decorative appearance; - noise insulation; - protection against fire; - safety of goods and people; - protection against bullets and explosions.
IMPACT SAFE GLASS - consists of several layers of glass (triplex). Externally, this glass is no different from other glasses. But unlike plain glass, it can withstand loads. A distinctive feature of impact-resistant glass is the special AB-AR insert. The AB-AR insert makes glass structures as strong as possible. In addition, the use of this insert allows you to reduce the thickness and weight of the structure, while maintaining the quality of the glass. Such glass is used for glazing floors, shop windows, cash registers, etc. Subject to certain standards, this glass is used as a bulletproof glass.
TEMPERED GLASS - Glass that has been heat treated, in the course of which it heats up and then rapidly cools by air jets. If glass breaks, its shards are much smaller than that of plain glass, and their edges are blunt, which limits the risk of cuts; thermally toughened glass is considered safe because protects against injury, and is used in certain cases.
ENAMELED GLASS (ENAMEL) is a tempered enameled float glass, pre-painted. On glass sheets of various types, a layer of paint (enamel) based on ceramides, subjected to heat treatment, is applied to one of the surfaces, which gives strength, safety, resistance to thermal stress to the glass and fusion of thermal diffusion enamel. After thermal hardening, the enamel becomes a single whole with the glass. Enamelled glass can be used as a stand-alone product for single glazing, or as a part of double-glazed windows or laminated glass. The decorative qualities of enamel are combined with high resistance to weathering and mechanical strength, therefore they are used for external glazing of smooth and inclined facades, indoors.
DUPLEX - Fashion trends in interior design do not bypass such a highlight as decorating furniture with glass. Products made of glass amaze the imagination with their lightness and weightlessness, organically blending into any style: from high-tech to baroque. We present to your attention DUPLEX - glass with one side lamination. It is a technology for applying a transparent film with a thickness of 0.3 mm to a glass sheet. After applying the film, the glass is baked in a laminated glass oven. As a rule, the film is used in combination with decorative material. The design of the picture can be very diverse. It depends only on your preferences. The technique of applying a decorative material to glass provides it with resistance to mechanical stress, washing and abrasion, and also provides excellent light transmission, clarity and brightness of the pattern.
SMART GLASS - “smart glass” is glass that becomes transparent or opaque when an electric voltage is applied to it. Consists of two glasses, between which a special film containing liquid crystals is placed. Electrodes are connected to the film, which is supplied with power. The principle of operation of SMART glass. In the off state, the smart glass becomes frosted due to the fact that the liquid crystals are located randomly, thereby obstructing the passage of light. When power is applied, the crystals turn in one direction and begin to transmit light through themselves, the glass becomes transparent. Parameters: - transmits 77% of light in both directions, regardless of the state; - power consumption 7 W / m2; - operating temperatures -20 ... + 60 ° С.
