A Forum on the development of local content was held with the participation of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nogayev. On August 5, 2021, the Forum on the development of local content was held online with the participation of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nogayev, akim of the West Kazakhstan region, Eskaliev G.N. ., heads of PSA LLP, ALE "Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan", Union of Oilfield Service Companies, "Karachaganak Petroleum Operating BV" (KPO) and domestic companies.

Within the framework of the forum, KPO presented one of the largest projects "Expansion of the Karachaganak Field" (PRK-1), which involves an increase in capacities for the preparation and injection of sour gas and reinjection into the reservoir, as well as the expansion of the production shelf at the Karachaganak field. The general contractor for this project is KKS-Sicim.

In addition, the forum discussed issues of participation of enterprises in KPO tenders, as well as problematic issues of machine-building companies on interaction with the project operator and development of measures to expand cooperation.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nogayev N.A. in his speech noted the need to increase KPO purchases for goods from domestic producers.

Akim of the region Iskaliev G.N. acquainted the forum participants with the potential and advantages of the region and invited KPO contractors together with domestic manufacturers to localize goods, works and services. Localization of goods, works and services is offered on the territory of the industrial zone being created, vacant premises and free zones available in the city of Uralsk. The personnel potential of the region and the need for joint work on the training of domestic personnel were also noted.

During the forum, the company introduced the annual and medium-term procurement plan and clarified the registration in the KPO supplier database.
