In February, Governor Andrei Travnikov proposed holding Technoprom-2021 under the sign of the Year of Science and Technology. “The emphasis of the Forum's program will be on how to bring science, technology, industry closer together and build cooperative chains that Russian researchers and industrialists lack today,” the regional government said.

In 2019, the Forum was attended by 8.5 thousand people. In 2020, the forum was canceled due to coronavirus restrictions.
