It should be noted that the special concern of the rescue services is caused by the unpreparedness of citizens who carry out tourist routes in water areas and mountainous areas.
Since the beginning of the year, the rescue units have carried out 44 search operations in the mountainous area, rescued 50 people (including 5 children), failed to save the lives of 11 people. (including 2 children).
Every day, more than 100 people (from among the employees of Emergency Situations, DP, PS KNB, NG, MIO) and more than 30 pieces of equipment are involved in search and rescue operations, and special aviation (helicopters of JSC Kazaviaspas and UAVs) is involved. The latest tragic events in the mountainous areas of the Almaty and Turkestan regions have caused a wide public outcry.
In general, such incidents indicate a low level of awareness of citizens with safety rules during mountain routes.
In addition, the lack of a cellular signal on remote tourist routes does not allow timely sending a distress signal to the relevant civil protection authorities. As a result, the speed of response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan to emergency situations is reduced.
In this connection, we ask you to be careful near water bodies, and we also kindly ask parents to explain to children the safety rules on the water and to prevent cases of swimming without adult supervision.
