According to paragraph 1 of Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the regulation of trading activities", subjects of internal trade for a socially significant food product establish the size of the trade markup no more than 15% of the manufacturer's selling price or the purchase price of a wholesale supplier.
According to Article 204-4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan, exceeding the permissible size of the trade markup for NWPT entails the application of administrative measures up to the imposition of a fine in the amount of 10 to 300 MCI.
