"Economics of Simple Things"

One of the top priorities of the state is to develop the production of local industrial goods and food products. To solve this problem, in December 2018, the implementation of the state program "Economy of Simple Things" was launched, the main essence of which is to replace imported services and everyday goods with local ones.

The program works in three main areas: production and processing in the agro-industrial complex, as well as production and services in the manufacturing industry. The main difference between the Economy of Simple Things program is long-term funding and subsidies for entrepreneurs for up to 10 years for investment purposes and for up to 3 years to replenish working capital. The remuneration rate for the program should not exceed 15%, of which the client pays only 6%. The remaining 9% is subsidized by the state, which significantly reduces the financial burden on the entrepreneur.

An entrepreneur can receive a soft loan only if the project fully complies with the terms of the Program and the purposes of lending:

In case of insufficient collateral, Damu Fund provides a guarantee of 50% of the loan amount up to KZT 3 billion inclusive; 30% on loans over 3 billion tenge up to 5 billion tenge inclusive.

Within the framework of the manufacturing industry, it is allowed to guarantee / subsidize a loan aimed at replenishing working capital, according to which the amount of working capital should not exceed 50% of the project amount. It is allowed to guarantee a loan, 100% of which is directed to replenishment of working capital, if the amount of this loan does not exceed 50% of the total loaned amount of the project.

As part of the financing of processing projects in the agro-industrial complex, which is carried out at the expense of banks' own funds, guarantees / subsidies can be carried out on a loan aimed at replenishing working capital - in the amount of 100% inclusive.

Applications for subsidies and guarantees under the program by the Damu Fund are reviewed online through the e-government (E-Gov) and Online Damu platforms.
