The state programs “Business Roadmap 2025” and “Economy of Simple Things” will continue to contribute to the development of regions

The Damu Fund, together with the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is developing approaches for the effective provision of state support measures within the framework of the State Business Support and Development Program "Business Road Map 2025".

Damu Fund will continue to provide support with a focus on micro-small and medium-sized businesses in priority sectors of the economy, namely manufacturing, medicine, education, logistics, etc.

“Since the launch of the microcredit program at the end of 2020, 17,727 projects have been supported. Under the terms of this area of state support, the entrepreneur is provided with a guarantee of up to 85% of the loan amount as a security from the Damu Fund, and the final interest rate is 6% per annum when the loan is subsidized. At the same time, the size of the loan for replenishment of working capital is up to 5 million tenge, and for investment purposes - up to 20 million tenge. In connection with the demand for this area of state support, it is planned to increase the allocation of funds for microcrediting,” said Gaukhar Buribayeva, Chairman of the Board of the Damu Fund.

The cooperation of the Damu Fund will be in close relationship with local executive bodies and will directly focus on the potential and opportunities of the region. At the same time, projects implemented in small settlements (mono-, small towns, villages) are planned to be supported without industry restrictions with a final rate for an entrepreneur of 5% per annum in accordance with the instruction of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on November 4, 2021 on the development single-industry towns.

At the same time, for medium-sized businesses, the Damu Fund, together with the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the regulation and development of the financial market, offered not only traditional and popular instruments of financial support through banks, but also through the stock market. They will be able to use guarantees and subsidies on bond loans.

Moreover, in accordance with the Order of the Head of State, voiced in his last Address to the people of Kazakhstan, the Economy of Simple Things Program will be continued until the end of 2022. The objective of this program is to expand production in the manufacturing industry and the agro-industrial complex, as well as to saturate the domestic market with goods and services of domestic producers, and for import substitution. Over the entire period of the implementation of the EIP, the Damu Fund supported 929 projects for a loan of 746.6 billion tenge.

Projects that have received support and for which obligations are currently accepted within the framework of state programs are being implemented in full. Also, work on accepting new applications will continue in the near future - after the completion of the relevant budgetary procedures provided for by the program.

For convenience and acceleration of the process of filing and consideration of applications, digitalization is actively implemented in the Damu Fund. Already now, the processes have been digitized from the adoption of a package of documents to the signing of subsidizing and guarantee agreements, which has made it possible to increase the number of entrepreneurial projects supported by the Fund. Today, the share of online applications for subsidies is 97%, and for guarantees - 76%.
